County Court
Deals with serious ‘Indictable Only’ cases, trials and where Magistrates sentencing powers are insufficient (see Committal above).Case is heard before a Judge and Jury (where appropriate)

To ask questions of witnesses on the opposite side to discredit their evidenceverdict and before Sentencing, to enable a more appropriate sentence to be awarded
